Sunday Fun

Today we started off our day right by going to church.  After church we ate with my parents and took a short trip to Target.  Next on the agenda was some quality time with Bert's parents at the Lebanese American country club. Ava enjoyed swinging on the playground!  When we got home Ava took a nap and Bert and I got to watch one of the movies we rented.  After Ava woke up I fixed some dinner and we went on a walk and stopped at the park in our neighborhood for another ride in the swing.  If it sounds like everything seemed to just fall into place today thats because it did, it was a perfect relaxing Sunday.  I am so thankful for today, my husband and daughter are so amazing!

Happy Birthday America and Grandpa!!!!!

Bert and I hosted a 4th of July party/suprise birthday party for his Dad.  I think a good time was had by all.  Bert and I enjoy having lots of people over to our house, one of the main reasons we remodeled our kitchen.  The kitchen was a huge success, their was plenty of room for everyone.  Bert's Dad turned 75 on July 3rd, and let me tell you he looks great!  We love you so much Grandpa, Happy Birthday again!!!!!!  The festivities started at 4:00 p.m.  Everyone arrived promptly about this time.  We had plenty of appetizers; Mexican pizza, blueberry cheese spread, guacomole dip, BLT dip, pineapple and bacon puff pastries, and plenty of drinks!  Dinner was around 6:00 and we feasted on Frankfort avenue BBQ, my delicious tortellini pasta salad, baked beans, and fresh fruit.  For desert we had a variety of treats; Barbara's homemade peach and apple pies, a jelly roll made by Marianne, and cookies made by Aunt Rose.

I put in lots of pictures please enjoy!

AVA crawling...

The Louisville Zoo (again)

It seems that Sarah and I have been spending alot of time together making our blog entrys quite similar.  So here it goes, I went to the zoo today with Sarah Leo Gus and Marianne.  We had a great time, and thank you again Marianne for getting us in free.  I really appreciate your kindness.  I am off work all this week and it has been awesome.  I have enjoyed being home all day and doing fun things with Ava I don't normally get to do.  Eating breakfeast and putting her down for her morning nap was such a treat.  I really do treasure the extra time I get to spend with her when I am off work.  Ava enjoyed the time she got to spend with Leo and Gus as much as she enjoyed the animals at the zoo.  She loves her cousins and gets so excited when she sees them.  Here are the pictures from the zoo, Ava never looked at the camera the whole day!!!!!

Holy Family Picnic

I'm sure many of you have seen the pictures from St. Martha's picnic so I will not post those.  My sister and I pretty much have the same weekend festivities going on.  This Saturday night  was dedicated to Holy Family's church picnic.  We all had a good time, the food was delicious and the live band was entertaining.  I also added some pictures of our kitchen.  We are finally all moved in and very happy.  If you can believe it, the kitchen cabinets are still not right for the fourth time in a row!  I have accepted it  and  moved on.  We are negotiating some of our money back, and this is fine with me.  I want nothing more to do with allied kitchens.  Enough of that.  I have truely enjoyed going to all of the church picnics this year.  It is so nice to spend time with your family and know that you don't have to go to work the next day.  I love my family very much.  Happy Anniversary to my Mom and Dad you are the best!  Congratulations on twenty eight years together!!!!!

Summer Sensation

I got off work early today (around 12:30) just in time to take Ava outside and play in her new swimming pool that Grammy purchased for her.  We had a very nice time.  Ava loves the water, I can't wait to take her to lakeside.  I assumed she would like her little swimming pool because she likes her baths so much and I was right.  She could care less if you dump a bucket of water over her head, in fact I think she enjoys it.  Not much else to report since I just blogged a couple of days ago. I hope all is well with everyone.

A Tearful Seven Month Birthday

I cannot believe my little Ava is seven months old today.  I don't know why her seven month birthday has made me so sentimental but it has.  It really hit me today how big she is getting.  Rocking her to sleep and seeing how her feet hang way past my arms made me burst into tears.  It's so amazing to look down at her face while she is sleeping and see both my husband and myself in her.  I love her so much!  I know some of you are thinking she is still so little, and she is but to me I am really noticing her growing up.  She's got teeth, she is ready to crawl, and she is always smiling and laughing.  She really looks at me when I am talking to her, and she is catching on to all the games I play with her.  I don't know what has made me think about it so much.  I just know I have been so emotional all day long thinking about how she is growing up too fast.  Sometimes I think how fun it will be when she is two or three, but deep down inside I wish I could keep her a baby forever.  She is my little angel and I love her with all of my heart.  I hope I can handle her turning one in November.

On a lighter note, the "right" kitchen cabinets should be going in Tuesday or Wed. and the rest of the kitchen should be all finished Friday or the following Tuesday.  I will update with pictures of course next week!
