LOVE

Love is something that will never go away, it's something that holds you together forever!  Whenever my life gets a little rough around the edges I can always look at my husband and my kids and see LOVE!  I feel the same way about my sister's kids, and my sister of course.  I look at them and see love.  Sweet Gussy and Ava had an extended play-date the other day after brown park.  The two just were not ready to part for the day, so little Gussy came home with us for some more fun in the sun!  I love watching them play together they are super cute and get along great!  When it was time to pack little Gussy up and go home he informed me in Gussy's one of a kind sweet voice "I not go home, I stay at Aunt Annie's house."  Something told me come nightfall this little Goose would miss his Mommy and Daddy.  I'm sure there will be plenty of sleepovers in the years to come.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

My Mom's birthday is today, yes what a lucky day to have a birthday, Friday the 13th!  I must say it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I think it's silly to be superstitious.

We will be having pizza and cake with all of our friends and family tonight, we can't wait to celebrate!  Ava has so graciously helped me make her Mimi's orange cake and cupcakes for herself and her cousins.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!  We love you so much and appreciate all you do for us!

In other news there is no other news really, except I have been thinking about going back to work. I just really can't see how I'm going to manage so I am delaying this idea as long as I can thinking anyday my husband will get a phone call saying YOUR HIRED!  The day this happens you might want to come over to my house because you will get to witness the happiest woman on earth!

Some updates on Ava: She is talking up a storm, "Yes I do;" "Yet me go." "No you go away," I yike horsies," "Tiss (kiss)  Mommy," I go simming," and then of course there are the streams of NO"S, no this no that ext.  We are so pleased with her speech!  Ava still sounds like she can speak a form of Thai or Vitanamese, we are not quite sure where she gets this, it truely sounds like another language and then she will stop in the middle of this language and say "okay, yes I do."  What do you say to this?!  It's hilarious to listen to. Ava's occupational therapist is a  true gift from God, She is the kindest most gentle paitent woman.  We feel super blessed we got connected with her, after a rather long line of nutty speech therapist.

Alex's speech is starting to blossom.  He loves to match the inflection of your voice, by far his favorite one is "Uh Oh."  He likes to try and sing with you if you sing to him, and he loves loves loves seeing and saying Dad Dad!  Some of Alex's favorite things to do are look out the window (I know a real thrill seeker we've got!)  He loves playing in the water, loves playing with his big sister, and loves being read to.  His favorite books are The Ten Little Puppies, and a  nursery rhyme book that has the music on the side and plays when you push the button.  His favorite button to push and listen to you sing is "There was farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name oh, B I N G O B I N G O and Bingo was his name oh."  It's so sweet to see his face light up EVERYTIME you sing it.

Lots of Pictures

Our computer has been on the fritz, so I can only get on it while in safe mode!  No editing pictures, really I can't do anything except check my email and blog.  I have lots of pictures I have taken over the week.  We have had a pretty rough week but we and when I say we I mean my husband is staying SUPER positive!  I am trying to think good thoughts, but sometimes my negative thoughts get the best of me.

I would just like to say I have a really great husband!  I like to keep alot of things private between us, but I will say my husband tells me I am beautiful everyday, he tells me he loves me everyday, he tells me he is the luckiest man on earth everyday, in fact I was a little bored the other day and actually counted how many times he said I looked beautiful and it was seven!!  Eventually, everything will be as it should and I will forget all about this and move on.  Maybe we will hear something next week about a JOB!

Our little miss Ava has been getting ready for school!  She adores her new backpack and lunch box that Mimi gave her!  It is a horse backpack and lunch box so of course she LOVES it!

Ourl sweet Alex is getting into everything, walking no more crawling, and eating us out of our house!

I'll have to wait and post pictures later, since my computer won't let me do that either.

Another Hot Day!

Ava started off her day with breakfast in bed, what a lucky little girl!  Alex and Ava played very nicely in Ava's room while I got my usual house chores complete, and then it was off to Mimi's house to play with our cousins, and pick up Penny!  The weather has been incredibly hot lately, but you will not hear me complaining.  I LOVE hot weather.  I don't care for humid weather so much, but I will take hot weather over cold weather any day.  You can always beat the heat with some fun water play!

On a side note Alex is walking everywhere!  He prefers walking over crawling now, we are so proud of him.  However, as my sister and I were talking to one another outside saying how well he is walking he suddenly crashed and scraped his face!!  No permanent damage of course but still a good scrape, my poor baby.

One more side note... Bert has an interview Monday at 4:00!  Please send all prayers and good thoughts his way.  Thanks!

OLOL Firetruck day!

We had a great time at Lourdes firetruck event.  We carried the party over to Mimi's afterward for some more outdoor water fun.  Ava and Alex enjoyed seeing the big truck, playing on the playground, decorating a bag for Habitat for Humanity, and of course getting to spend the day with their three cousins.
