Our Horse Lovin Girl

I've posted plenty about Ava loving horses, but I think we have passed the stage of Love and have moved to obsessed.  Today is her riding day, and she is currently wearing her riding boots around the house waiting in anticipation for me to say "are you ready to get in the car."  Her lesson is not until 2:00, which probably feels like next Tuesday for Ava.
When we are in public at the park or wherever Ava pretends to be a horse, after some stares from other parents I step up and explain to them what she is doing.  For instance when she kicks one foot down throws her hair back and shakes her head she is either getting ready to burst out of a starting gate or jump some poles, which I must say she must study very hard when watching her horse shows (this includes the racing channel) because she looks exactly like a horse!  Then she will stop and give you some very loud low sounding Neighhhhhhhsss!
Not only does Ava watch horse movies, she loves horse books, and catalogs!  Her Mimi gave her a book on how to groom a horse, and this is one of Ava's favorites.  She flips her horse over and uses my husband's screwdriver to pretend she is cleaning out the dirt on her horse's hoof, then she preceeds to take my hairbrush to comb her horse's hair.
Ava is definatley a creative, fun loving, BIG personality type of girl, and we LOVE her for it.  Here are a few pictures of our little Avy girl.

Beautiful Baptism

Our best friends the Mullers had a beautiful Baptism today!  We welcomed Charles Alan into the life of  Catholic faith today!  Little Charlie was so good throughout the entire ceremony, as well as little miss Caroline, Ava and Alex.  We had so much fun and felt so blessed to be at St. Boniface to witness Charlie's Baptism.
Ava and Caroline had so much fun that we decided to take Caroline home with us for some extra playtime!
I'm so glad the girls get along so well together, and when Charlie gets a little bigger I'm sure he will have just as much fun with Alex!
All in all it was a great way to spend a Sunday.  Thanks Mullers for hosting a great Baptism and reception.  We love you all so much!

I'm Here!

My sister helped me set up my new blogger account.  I am a former vox user, and am a little sad they are shutting down, but I am going to use this oppurtunity to teach myself how to be a little more computer savvy.

Ava has continued LOVING her riding lessons, and is doing really well in occupational therapy.  She is hopefully, getting ready to start speech therapy as well.  We have been re-thinking our decision about grade school for Ava.  Ava has 2 1/2 more years before Kindergarten but we want to be prepared just in case she is not ready.  We are looking into lots of other choices with the the help of Ava's therapist.  Again, alot can happen in two years, who knows?

Alex is getting ready to turn 15 months old and is as active as ever.  He loves playing hiding and chasing games with Ava.  He is so precious to us and makes us smile and laugh everyday.  He reads into all your feelings.  If I'm upset he comes up to me and puts his head on my chest, and he certainly knows when you are in a silly mood, he takes advantage of it and makes silly faces at you and giggles so sweetly.

Well I guess this is my new home.  I have a lot of exploring to do!

Alex-14 months

In seventeen days Alex will be 15 months old.  Thirteen months, then fourteen months came and left without a blog post for little Alex.  Well I'm doing it now, but the truth is not much has changed.  He is still as sweet as can be.  Alex  loves eating, sleeping, and playing with his big sister.  He is running everywhere, and has started to TRY and talk by making sounds and inflections when you ask him a question.  His favorite book is still "Ten Tiny Puppies."  Bert and I know this by heart and read it at least fifteen times a day!  He has the most amazing heart filled laugh, and loves to be tickled!  Here are some pictures of Alex at 14 months.
