This weekend has been jam packed with fun!  Friday Ava had her Halloween party at school and that night we went to Bellarmine's Jackolantern walk as well as a stroll down Hillcrest.  Saturday we went to Brown park for their Halloween Festival, and Sunday we trick or treated at my Sister's house.  Unfortunatley, our camera crashed at my Sister's house and is no longer working. I only got a few before it died.  Check out my sister's blog for more pictures.  We will be on the hunt for a new camera.  Ava's 3rd Birthday is next weekend, preparations are being made and little miss Ava is anxiously awaiting the day!
I would just like to say thank you to my sister who hosted a great Halloween get together, I really enjoyed making festive appetizers and the company.  Trick or treating was so much fun this year!

Pictures and Updates!

I think I got some print worthy pictures today at the park!  Everyone is tired from all the running, swinging, and climbing.  It's nice to have both down for a nap so I can blog during the day instead of 11:00 at night.  Here are some pictures of all the fun we had.

A few quick updates....
Alex is now my big 16 month old.  His first love is food!!  He eats and eats and eats!  His favorite food by far is hotdogs (yuck!) A few other favorites are yogurt, cauliflower, spaghetti, rice, garlic bread, grapes, and chicken.  He is trying to talk.  He says Ada for Ava, Mama, Dada, and car.  He points to everything and wants you to say what it is, and then he trys to say it.  He is climbing up on chairs to turn light switches on and off, and is moving stools over so he can use them to get up on the couch.  He finally realized he has to turn around and slide down to get off Ava's bed.  He still has not figured out stairs, he can climb up them fine but going down is other story.

Ava is awesome! She impresses us everyday with her new found speech.  She continues to go to her occupational therapy and will now be going to speech right afterwards.  I had to pick her up a little early from school on Monday and was able to spy on her a little bit in Music class.  She was sitting and listening like a perfect little angel.

Last but not least tomorrow is Bert and I 4 year anniversary!! Bert has been celebrating it all week.  Monday he wrote me a poem (NOT like him.) Tueday I received beautiful pink roses.  Tonight I have a surprise at 6:30?  Tomorrow we are going out to dinner for our actual Anniversary! How sweet!!

Pumpkin Pickin

We did a little pumpking picking at Gallrein farm today.  The weather was beautiful!  Mimi and Grandaddy attended as well, and I think they had just as much fun as we did.  Ava and Alex had fun in the petting zoo, riding the ponies, and playing in the hay pit.  Ava is growing up so fast, she helped Alex on and off throughout the day.  She is talking up a storm and we couldn't be more pleased.  Alex really enjoyed eating the candy we bought while in line to pay for the pumpkins.  It was overall a peaceful relaxing super fun day!  Thanks Mimi and Grandaddy for joining us today.  We love you xoxo!

Halloween at the Zoo

Tonight we enjoyed ourselves at the Louisville Zoo's Halloween party, where you can be "seen not scared."  I'm not sure if you could call it scared but the characters definatley had my kids a little nervous.  They loved looking at them and waving, but getting close to take a picture was too much for them to handle.  Their favorite part was trick or treating, and Ava loved spending time with her "taroyine."  We always enjoy hanging out with the Mullers, it's become a little tradition to go together to this sweet little Halloween party.  Here are some very cute pictures of our kiddos having a good time!
