Hello and goodbye to our new cabinets

Yesterday our new kitchen cabinets were installed, and they will be taken down today.  The cabinets were all wrong.  We were supposed to have all pull out drawers and we have none, we were supposed to have a pull out trash and recycle can and we have one small trash pull out only.  One of the cabinets doesn't even match the other cabinets at all.  All of our cabinets are beadboard, and this one particular cabinet was just plain white.  I honestly don't understand how hard it could be to order some cabinets.  The top cabinets were supposed to be glass, and you can probably guess they weren't.  How can there be so many mistakes on one small order of cabinets?  Enough said about the cabinets.  On a happier note the rest of the kitchen looks fantastic.  The floor, paint color, french doors, and new basement door are awesome.  When this kitchen comes to an end it will look amazing.  I love my parents and their house very much but I am so ready to go home, I miss my house!

Ava's sixth month checkup

Today Ava went to the doctor for her sixth month checkup.  Her sixth month birthday is actually on th 7th, the day Gus was born making them exactly six months apart.  I am glad to say Ava is very healthy.  She passed the doctor's inspection with a clean bill of health.  Ava now weighs 18lbs, and is 25 inches long.  I can't believe my little girl is getting so big.  The doctor gave me the thumbs up to try a few solids like zwieback toast.  Here is a picture of her eating it, I didn't realize how messy these things could get. Next time I'll start with the shirt already off.  I also put in some pictures of little Gus at his Mom's birthday party.  Happy Birthday again Sarah!  Your house is really looking great.

I'm an aunt again!!!!!!!

I know many of you have heard all about Gus, but for those of you who have not.  Gus was born May 7th at 2:13p.m. He weighed 7lbs 4oz.  Gus is so sweet and cute, I am just ecstatic that he is here.  I had the pleasure of watching Ava and Leo while Sarah was having Gus.  They were very interested in their video.  Sarah is truely amazing.  She is awesome at giving birth.  The teachers at my school think she is a freak of nature.  I went to visit Sarah and Gus yesterday.  Sarah was sitting up in bed with her own clothes on, no hospital gown, typing away on the computer saying she was ready to go home.  I just can't get over how strong she is.  Everyone says she has easy labors, but I know she was in some pain, she just handles everything so well.  Great job Sarah!!!  For what it's worth I am so enamored by you and your ability to have babies.  It sounds kind of silly but it is no easy task.  I guess I should have mentioned, Sarah was in labor for about 3 hours and after 4 pushes he was here!  I am sorry to say I do not have a picture of my perfect nephew just yet.  There will be many to come I promise.

Today we had our May procession to honor Mary and it went very well.  The kids were so excited to crown Mary.  They have been singing "oh Mary we crown thee with blossoms today" for the past two weeks.  They also did a great job saying the Hail Mary prayer.  Our kids are so smart they knew the prayer by heart after 3 days of practicing.  I think thats pretty good for a group of three year olds.

I will soon get around to updating some pictures of our kitchen.  This week has been a little hectic.

UCDC Float Parade!

Today at school we had a float parade.  Our theme was the bed races.  Our float was obviously a bed and my kids and I wore pajamas.  Some of the other classes themes were, hot air balloon race, cinco de mayo, a day at the races, and a hawaiin theme.  During the parade we walked to the Marion home and waved to all the Sisters, we also walked pass Sacred Heart Model school, and Sacred Heart Academy.  My Mom was nice enough to bring Ava up, and she got to walk in the parade with us!  I threw in some pictures of our kitchen as well.  Everything seems to be coming along nicely
