State Fair

Last night we attended the state fair.  We had lots of fun seeing all the animals.  Ava was a little disappointed she could not see any horses, but both Ava and Alex liked the baby chicks, sheep, cows, and pigs.  We enjoyed corn on the cob, pork sandwiches, cotton candy, and tried the fried Derby Pie, which was pretty good!  We also liked the balloon exhibit, this year's theme was the Jungle. 
Alex won three little stuffed animals from the duck pond game and Ava won a big blow up dolphin from the go fishing game.  Both were satisfied with their prizes.  By far the kids loved riding the rides the best.  I feel like kids as young as two and three should have a little more fear when it comes to rides, but mine wanted to ride them all including the big ferris wheel and all the adult rides! 
I wish the night ended as great as it started.  We were stuck in traffic leaving the fair for 2 hours and 15minuets!!  So I let the kids sit up front with me while we just sat and sat and sat trying to get out of the fair parking lot, until eventually they fell asleep and I put them back in their car seats.

Matlda's 2nd Birthday Party!!

Little Miss Matilda turned 2 today!  My sweet little perfect niece is quite the girl.  She is a red headed spit fire who will let you know she will do things her way.  She is just a precious little girl and I love her so much.  Happy Birthday Tillie girl, your Mommy and Daddy certainly know how to put on 2nd birthday.  The theme was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  There was so much fun to be had with the Mickey Mouse jumpy and water slide, Mickey Mouse photo booth, Mickey Mouse painting, Mickey Mouse Pinata, and of course yummy food and Mickey Mouse cake!  I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

We went to the zoo tonight with Grandma and Grandpa.  They had a special evening for zoo members.  It was a chaotic mess!  I rarely have anything negative to say about the zoo, but this was awful.  I don't think they estimated correctly on how many people were going to attend.  There was a very long line for the tram and a long line just to see the polar bears and sea lions, there were so many people there, I have never seen it that busy ever!  We did make the best out of it, and went out to dinner afterwards.  We always enjoy spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.
