Happy Halloween

A big thank you to Stephanie and Bernie for hosting a great Halloween party!  We had so much fun, the kids enjoyed everything from the Halloween music, to the food, and the trick or treating.  We all had a great night with great friends.

WOW!

Wow is all I can really say.  I tell my kids everyday how much I love them and give them lots of hugs and kisses too.  Yesterday they were completely showered with them, maybe because I have been working the past nine weeks and I realized how lucky I am to be home with them, or maybe it's because they were just so cute and played so well together, who knows.  All I know is I love them so much and it always amazes me how much more love I have for them just when I thought I couldn't possibly love them anymore.

Alex impresses me everyday with his speech, he talks in complete sentences, asks a million questions, plays with Ava, still takes great naps, and is obsessed with car keys, driving, and trains.  His favorite foods our cinnamon rolls, and pizza.  He also loves to help me cook, his favorite part of cooking is pouring or shaking the ingredients in.  Here is Alex carving his pumpkin with Daddy.

Miss Ava has impressed me lately by writing her name ALL BY HERSELF!  I was just talking to my friend the other day telling her how I didn't think she was ready to write her name and how great it was that her daughter (who is younger than Ava) was already writing her name.  I have worked with Ava in the past but she never seemed interested.  For her birthday invitations she traced her name on everyone of them, but yesterday we were playing outside and she picked up the chalk and wrote her name PERFECTLY on the sidewalk.  My heart gasped!  I was so proud of her!  Ava's conference went really well.  Bert and I were really worried considering our last conference at her old school was a disaster.  But this year her teacher could not understand why we would have been worried.  She said Ava is so kind, so sweet, and very polite.  She plays with everyone and plays in all centers.  Her best friend is Gabe, and it just so happens they share a love for horses!

Not too scary Halloween party!

It's tradition for the Hughes and Mullers to attend this not so scary Halloween party at the zoo together, and what a great tradition it is!  We had so much fun together.  It was really crowded, but we made it through the crowd taking our time getting pictures with characters, dancing to music, and eating some candy along the way.  My kids have trick or treating down perfectly and are ready to do it again on Halloween.  Alex's pizza costume turned out great as well as Ava's face painting.  My Mom and I were a good team working on them earlier in the day.  Enjoy the pictures!
