The Final Game

Ava had her last game of T'ball on Saturday.  She ended beautifully.  The past two games have been really hot and she was less than thrilled to get out on the field and play.  I thought I was in for another one of those games that morning because when she asked me where we were going and I told her baseball, she told me she rather be at her horse barn.  However, on the drive over she informed me I was to sit on the side and watch her, she would play by herself today (the past two games I've had to go out with her on the field.)  She was in her down and ready position on the field a few times, had no problem batting, and ran the bases like a horse.  When it was time to hand out the trophies Ava was very excited, I didn't know they were getting them.  Bert was working that morning, so she promptly said "we need to show my Daddy this!"  Then she proclaimed over and over how much her Mimi would love it.  I love my beany babe and am so proud of her for a wonderful T-ball season.

I started off the morning snuggling with this little man:)

Hangin out

We are usually on the go and hanging out all about town, but lately we have been staying in, and out of the sun.  This means it's up to me to come up with some fun activities for my kids to do.  Today we painted with q-tips, and made cupcake paper flowers.  I threw in a little counting and shortest to tallest lesson for Ava. We also played dress-up, cars, laundry, and tea party.   I pray her teachers can get her to do her alphabet this year.  I have been working with her on the alphabet for the past three weeks and I'm pretty sure she can only recognize letter A :/  She has the sweetest disposition about it and says " I don't know, I just don't know" to the letters I show her.   I have confidence in her she will master it this year.

I put in some pictures of an anniversary party we went to.  We had so much fun, it was super kid friendly, and beautifully decorated.  Congrats to Leigh and Mike Robards on 10 years of marriage (I wish I got a picture of the couple.)  The other pictures are just of us hangin out.

Ava packed her bag with about twenty pairs of underwear, put on my sacred heart band and threatened to run away to Mimi's house all because I told her that was enough of watching horesland on t.v.

The Good and the Bad

You have heard people say "I've got good news and I've got some bad news, which do you want to hear first?"  I'll start with the bad I guess so I can end on a positive note.

The bad news is pretty awful.  My husband ended up not getting the job he was told he had and was congratulated for so many times.  It's a long unbelievable story so I will just say it boils down to a HUGE mistake by a HORRIBLE human resource lady!  If it were up to me she would have some jail time, but I am trying to move on and forget the whole thing even happened.

On to some good news, our kids are healthy and happy, Ava is soooo excited to start going to her new school, my substitute teaching job starts soon, and my husband and I are still somewhat sane.

Here are some pictures of the little faces that keep my happy.
