Another Bat's Game

Last night we took Ava to another Louisville bat's game.  The last time we went was for Thunder over Louisville.  The weather was much nicer this time.  Ava enjoyed herself very much.  She had a sip of her first beer and a taste of a cherry snowcone.  Thanks again Mom and Dad for inviting us. We love spending time with you both

A Day At The Zoo

I wish I could have been at the zoo with my little Ava, but I had to work.  I know a fun time was had by all.  Even though Leo didn't take very well to the animals he loved the fish, and I know he had a great time with his cousin Ava.  The two are such good friends.  It's exciting to think about what they will be like when they are older.  I wonder who will boss who around.  Since Ava cannot talk just yet I wanted to say thank you to Grammy for such a great day at the zoo. Bert and I are so happy she gets to be with her Grammy everyday while we are at work.

New kitchen here we come!

It seems like everyone we know is doing some kind of remodeling, so Bert and I decided to join in on the "fun" and do some remodeling of our own.  Our kitchen was in desperate need of some TLC, we had no dishwasher and our appliances were 50 years old. The demolition has started and Bert and I are very excited.  It all started with us wanting a dishwasher and a new stove, and now we have completely gutted our kitchen and dining room, making it one large kitchen.  I can hardly wait to see the final product, I know it will be fabulous.  Here are some pics of what will soon be the most beautiful kitchen ever!!!!!!! YEAH!

Thunder was worth the wait!

Last night was a blast (literally.)  We arrived at the Bat's game around 3:30. Thanks to me we were able to park inside the Bat's stadium.  They tried to wave us on saying the lot was full, but I wasn't taking no for an answer.  I got out of the car and told them we were season ticket holders and that I had seen plenty of spaces open.  The attendant was maybe 13 yrs old, he told me I should have gotten there earlier.  I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to so he sent me down to Tim who was all about maybe 16.  He called me mame which made me feel extremely old!  I told him the same thing and he was like well you can come in and have a look.  Needless to say we found a close spot, and I was happy!  Everywhere near the bat's stadium wanted 40-50 dollars to park.  I don't speak up often, and when I do I feel great, obviously because I am telling everyone about it.

I wasn't worried about Ava being too cold because we were on the club level which means you can go inside where there are bars and sit down eating areas.  It was nice and cozy inside.  We watched a little bit of the bat's game, and then passed the rest of the time playing hangman, tic tac toe, eating dinner, and playing with Ava.  Finally, it was time for Thunder and it was awesome!  We all really enjoyed it. I don't know how but Ava fell asleep the last ten minutes of thunder.  When we all got back in the car she woke up with the funniest look on her face.  She was really confused, you could tell she was trying to figure out where she was.  I could not stop laughing.  I have to thank my Dad for the great tickets and my father in law for joining us!  It was such a great memorable night!!!!!!!

A Beautiful Spring Day

The weather has been so nice this week!  It was fun getting Ava dressed in her summer clothes.  The weather was nice enough for Ava to go barefoot and sleeveless, I thought it might be a great oppurtunity to get some pictures of Ava outside.  However, Ava was having some difficulty adjusting to the sun.  These pictures are the best I could do.  Hopefully, when Ava can sit up she will be a little easier to take pictures of.  I do enjoy taking pictures of her myself.  I am not a fan of studio baby pictures.  I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful spring weather.  It was nice to drive down the street in my neighborhood with the windows down, and being able to smell fresh cut grass and people grilling out.  I am so ready for summer!!!!!!

Cousin Fun!

Leo and Ava have been spending alot of time together due to Sarah and Mitchell's big move into their beautiful new house.  Leo and Ava loved riding in the car together.  Their carseats were right next to each other so I kid you not they held hands the entire car ride.  They both enjoyed a delicious dinner at Bearno's, and ended the night with a bath.  Bert and I really enjoyed the feeling of having two kids with us.  It was not as hard as we thought it might be.  We still plan on waiting awhile to have a second child.  Leo will be an excellent big brother.  He took care of Ava by giving her kisses, winding up her mobile so she could hear more music, and handing me a diaper when I needed it.  He is a very sweet little boy!  Maybe Leo and Ava will be having sleep overs soon.  I can't wait till Gus joins in the fun, not to much longer hang in their Sarah!
