Gallrein Farm....... A new tradition

We decided to try out a new place to go and gather our pumpkins this fall.  Gallrein farm was AMAZING to say the least, We will definitely be making this our new family tradition.  This farm was suggested to us by my Mom and Marianne. The farm is located in Shelbyville,Ky. Huber's is definitely bigger and more commercialized.  The only thing we slightly missed from Huber's was the wine, but with two small kids it's not like we would have time to sip slowly on and enjoy it.  We were able to do so many things so quickly because the crowd was no where near what Huber's is this time of year. At Gallrein farm we went on a tractor ride, pony rides, picked pumpkins, played in the hay pit, climbed a hay pyramid, and went to the free petting zoo. I am not dissing Huber's farm at all.  We love it and it has served us well, but we fell in love with a new farm and were swept away by the charm this place had to offer.  Ava was spoiled rotten by Mimi.  Mimi treated Ava to not one, not two, but THREE pony rides, lots of pumpkins, a bag of candy corn, and a stick horse from Cracker Barrel!  In fact Mimi treated everyone the entire day!  THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pictures are cute but do not really show how excited Ava was about the pony rides, and petting zoo.  Ava loves all animals especially horses.  She has no fear of any animal.  She was ecstatic, literally shaking and smiling in my arms while we waited to ride the pony.  Alex was pretty content I'm not sure how much fun he had.  I think the highlight for him was me feeding him in the car. Next year he will be right up there running around with his big sister at Gallrein farm.
