Alex Turns Two

This is a very belated post.  Alex turned two June 19th!  Alex is our little charmer.  He says hi and bye to everyone, and is VERY active.  We are pretty sure he doesn't know how to walk just run.  He runs everywhere he needs to go, and his super fast.  He enjoys playing with his big sister, and cousins.  He loves the water, and prefers to be in the deep end of the pool.  In fact, in Destin, he decided it would be a good idea just to jump into the deep end of the pool.  I was right there by him, watching him and thinking surely he is not going to jump.  He swung his arms back and jumped right in!  Which means I jumped right in as well to get him.  He is a touch of crazy.  He talks up a storm and will ask you to please be quiet when he no longer cares to hear about what you are saying.  His favorite food is pizza, his favorite fruit is blueberries, his favorite vegetable is cauliflower, and his favorite drink is .............. coke!  We don't have coke at our house, but when we go out he begs for it!!!  I know this is awful, and I am not trying to justify anything, but the next time you give your kids fruit juice go ahead and look at the sugar, there is the same amount of sugar in fruit juice as there is in coke.  Don't get any crazy ideas thinking they get a whole coke either, it's just a treat every now and then.

Alex loves trains, planes, trucks, and tractors!  His favorite activity other than splashing around in water and jumping into pools, is mowing the lawn with his Daddy!  He loves yard work, and getting into garages and exploring what kind of equipment you have.

My husband says Alex gives the best hugs, and it's true.  When you really need a hug he is there for you.  He wraps his little arms around your neck, lays his head on your shoulder and really gives you a nice squeeze and sometimes some pats too!  Don't expect any kisses, he rarely kisses anyone.  He is so fun to watch grow up, his personality is shining bright, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

A tired little Alex.
